    Katie Rose Clark

    Founder & General Manager

Katie is the Founder and General Manager of New Town Nests, where she leads with a clear goal: to provide thoughtful, reliable, and compassionate support to families navigating modern life. Since launching the business, she’s grown it from a local service into a trusted name known for its personal touch and high standards.

Her role is both strategic and hands-on. Katie steers the company’s direction, supports her team, and drives growth—while also working directly with clients as a household helper. Staying involved on the ground helps her stay connected to the real needs of families and maintain the values New Town Nests is built on.

With a background in client care and operations, Katie combines practical experience with an empathetic approach. She’s passionate about building a service that genuinely lifts the load—offering help that’s not only useful, but meaningful.

    Alex McKay

    Event Planner & Manager

Alex is part of the core team at New Town Nests, where she balances two key roles: supporting clients in their homes as a trusted household helper, and leading our upcoming community project, NTN Village.

With a background in interior design and plenty of hands-on experience managing busy family life (she’s raising three kids, a partner, and a dog), Alex brings a grounded, no-fuss approach to everything she does. Her work is practical, calm, and responsive — whether she’s tidying a home, helping with a school run, or quietly holding space for an overwhelmed parent.

Alex is also behind NTN Village, a new series of community-led support sessions and meetups launching in Edinburgh and Glasgow from summer 2025. The goal is to offer not just in-home help, but also a sense of connection — something many of our clients tell us they’re missing. From gentle postnatal groups to working-parent coffee mornings and practical skill swaps, NTN Village will reflect what New Town Nests has always been about: rebuilding the village, one family at a time.

  • GiGi

    Glasgow Manager & Home Helper

Gigi is part of the core team at New Town Nests, and takes care of our clients in Glasgow. Her key role is to support clients in their homes as a trusted household helper.

Gigi has a three-decade background working with children, young people and their families. She was a single parent, and has raised two daughters who now live and work in London. She knows exactly what it feels like to be a working parent, and the challenges being a full-time mother can bring. She is also a life coach, trained in active listening and solutions-focused outcomes.  Gigi is super organised, practical, non-judgemental, diplomatic and will quietly sprinkle whatever magic is required in a client’s home.

    Vicki Murphy

    Business Development Manager

Vicki is the Business Development Manager at New Town Nests, where she plays a key role in growing the business, expanding services across Edinburgh and Glasgow, and supporting the smooth running of daily operations. With a strong background in client service and people-focused work, Vicki also works directly with families as a household helper — giving her firsthand insight into the real-life needs of the people we support.

As a busy working mum herself, Vicki understands the pressures of juggling home, family, and career. Her approach is warm, practical, and grounded in lived experience, which makes her especially attuned to the challenges our clients face. Whether she’s helping to develop the business or lending a hand in someone’s home, Vicki brings energy, empathy, and a commitment to making life a little easier for the families we serve.
